How To Use PDFWoohoo

PDFWoohoo is not only for PDFs.

It is a flexible document and page workspace for PDFs, images, TIFFs, text files, Markdown documents, ZIP and CBZ archives, and more.

Open your files, arrange the pages visually, make the changes you need, then export them in the format and structure you want.

What Can You Do?

With PDFWoohoo you can:

Open PDFs, images, TIFFs, text, Markdown, ZIP and CBZ files.
Mix pages from different file types in one workspace.
Reorder pages by dragging them into place.
Rotate, duplicate, remove, divide and stitch pages.
Insert blank pages and Document Breaks.
Copy pages as images or paste compatible clipboard content.
Sort all pages or only selected pages.
Preview pages with zoom, pan and next/previous navigation.
Export as PDF, TIFF, PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, WebP, SVG, AVIF, ICO, TXT, RTF or Markdown.
Create single-page files or multipage documents.
Split one workspace into several separate output documents.
Preserve original PDF vector content where possible.

Everything happens inside your browser, and your original files remain unchanged.

1. Add Your Files

Start by dragging files onto PDFWoohoo or clicking Add Files.

You can load several files at once.

Supported content includes:

PDF • TIFF • PNG • JPG • GIF • BMP • WebP • SVG • AVIF • ICO • TXT • Markdown • ZIP • CBZ

Multipage PDFs and TIFFs are automatically separated into individual pages.

ZIP and CBZ archives are opened and supported files inside them are loaded automatically.

2. Arrange Your Pages

Every page appears as a thumbnail in the workspace.

Drag thumbnails to rearrange them.

You can also right-click and use Sort to arrange:

selected pages; or
all loaded pages

by name, modification date, load order or reverse order.

3. Select Pages

Click a page to select it.

Use familiar desktop-style selection controls:

Ctrl-click — add or remove individual pages
Shift-click — select a range
Ctrl+Shift-click — add a range
Ctrl+A — select everything

Right-click Selections for additional options such as Invert Selection or Deselect All Document Splitters.

4. Preview Pages

Double-click a page or choose Preview from the right-click menu.

From Preview you can:

zoom with the mouse wheel;
pan by dragging;
move to the previous or next page;
rotate;
copy;
download;
remove the page.

Use the Left and Right Arrow keys to move between pages and Esc to exit.

5. Rotate Pages

Pages can be rotated:

90° counter-clockwise;
90° clockwise;
180°.

Apply the rotation to:

one page;
selected pages; or
all pages.

Your chosen rotation is included when the document is exported.

6. Copy and Paste Pages

Choose Copy as Raster Image to copy a page to the clipboard.

You can then paste it into another application such as Word, email or an image editor.

PDFWoohoo can also accept compatible clipboard content.

Use Paste Page, or right-click:

Insert → Paste

You can paste:

before a page;
after a page;
before or after every selected page;
at the end.

7. Add Blank Pages

Choose:

Insert → Insert Blank Page

Blank pages can be placed:

before or after a page;
before or after selected pages;
at the end.

Blank pages can also have their:

colour changed;
size changed;
dimensions matched to the previous or next page.

8. Divide Pages

Need to split one page into two?

Choose:

Divide Page

Then select:

Into Columns — creates Left and Right pages
Into Rows — creates Top and Bottom pages

The two halves become normal pages that can be moved, rotated or exported independently.

PDFWoohoo also remembers divided pages so they can later be restored.

9. Stitch Pages Together

PDFWoohoo can also do the opposite.

Choose:

Stitch Pages

You can combine pages:

side-by-side in columns;
vertically in rows;
as one large group;
in pairs.

This is useful for joining scanned halves, creating spreads, comparison sheets or combining related images.

If you change your mind, stitched pages can be separated back into their original pages.

10. Control How Different Page Sizes Are Stitched

When stitching differently sized pages, use Page fitting.

Choose from:

Preserve size and pad
Keep the original page sizes and add space where required.

Scale smaller page up to match
Enlarge smaller pages.

Scale larger page down to match
Reduce larger pages.

11. Duplicate or Remove Pages

Right-click Duplicate to make copies of pages.

You can duplicate:

one page after itself;
one page at the end;
every selected page after itself;
every selected page at the end.

To remove pages, use the thumbnail ×, the Delete key or:

Right-click → Remove

Removing pages from PDFWoohoo does not delete the original files from your computer.

12. Create Several Documents at Once

A Document Break tells PDFWoohoo where one output document ends and another begins.

Insert one using:

Insert → Insert Document Splitter

For example:

Pages 1–3
Document Break
Pages 4–7
Document Break
Pages 8–10

When exported as multipage documents, PDFWoohoo can create three separate files from that single workspace.

This is especially useful when preparing batches of documents.

13. Choose Your Output Format

PDFWoohoo can export to:

PDF • TIFF • PNG • JPG • JPEG • GIF • BMP • WebP • SVG • AVIF • ICO • Plain Text • Rich Text • Markdown

Choose your required format in Settings.

14. Single Pages or Multipage Documents

Use Pageable Output to choose:

Single Pages

Each page becomes its own file.

Multipage

Pages are combined into a multipage document where the chosen format supports it.

Document Breaks can create several separate multipage documents in one export.

15. ZIP or Separate Files

When an export produces several files, choose:

ZIP archive
Package everything into one ZIP file.

Download separately
Download each generated file individually.

16. Preserve PDF Quality

When exporting to PDF, Export As offers:

Vector & Raster

Recommended for most uses.

Original PDF pages remain vector-based where possible, preserving sharp text and drawings rather than converting everything into an image.

Other content is rasterised only where necessary.

Raster Only

Every page is converted to raster content.

This can be useful when consistent visual rendering is more important than preserving vector information.

17. Set Raster Resolution

The Longest edge setting controls the maximum size of rasterised pages.

For example:

2500 px

means the longest side of the exported or copied image will be up to 2500 pixels, with the other side scaled proportionally.

Higher values provide more detail but create larger files.

This setting also applies when copying pages to the clipboard.

18. Text and Markdown

Plain Text and Markdown documents are automatically paginated when opened.

Markdown supports common formatting such as:

headings;
paragraphs;
lists;
quotes;
code blocks;
horizontal rules.

Text-based pages can also be exported as:

Plain Text;
Markdown;
Rich Text.

19. Download What You Need

Use the main Download button to export your current workspace.

You can also download directly from a thumbnail, Preview or the right-click menu.

Choose between:

This Page Only
Selected Pages
All Loaded Pages

20. Right-Click for More

Many of PDFWoohoo’s most useful features are available from the right-click menu.

Depending on where you click, you can access:

Open Files • Preview • Copy • Rotate • Insert • Paste • Divide • Stitch • Remove • Duplicate • Sort • Download • Selections • Settings • Properties

If you are looking for a page-related function, right-clicking is usually the quickest place to find it.

A Simple PDFWoohoo Workflow

Add your files.
Arrange the pages.
Select, rotate, divide, stitch, duplicate or remove anything you need.
Add blank pages or Document Breaks where required.
Choose your output format and settings.
Download.

That’s it.

Your workspace can contain pages from completely different source files and formats, but PDFWoohoo treats them as one flexible collection until you decide how they should be exported.

Your Original Files Stay Untouched

PDFWoohoo creates new output from the pages in your workspace.

Reordering, rotating, dividing, stitching, duplicating or removing pages does not overwrite or delete your original files.

So experiment freely.
